Loud, energetic, vivacious: Peachy has a lot to say. She is determined to lose her excess weight to look “sexy” and wear “nice clothes”.
A fashionista, Peachy gives a lot of importance to her outward appearance. She enjoys dressing up and taking care of herself to look great, but has deep-rooted insecurities about her weight and health.
She is currently studying for her masters and tutoring English. Despite her outward confidence, her obesity has caused problems in her social life and she tends to avoid seeing her university friends.
Peachy does not think there is too much stigma attached to being a big person in Thailand where she lives, but recounts one embarrassing moment when she walked into a restaurant and the waiter immediately changed her chair from a plastic one to a wooden one in case she broke it.
Being the sole breadwinner in her family and looking after her mother, Peachy feels that she must lose weight and maintain her health to continue to provide for her family and make her mother proud.
